Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 31, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CartoReel operated by Demos Distributed LLC ("CartoReel," "Service," or "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Services.
By uploading content ("Uploaded Media"), submitting an order, making a payment, downloading Generated Content, or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that case, "you" and "your" refer to both you and that entity.
2. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our business practices, technology, or applicable laws.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by other reasonable means. Updated Terms will become effective on the date stated in the updated Terms.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.
The Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and you may not use the Services if you are under the minimum age required to lawfully use the Services in your jurisdiction.
If you use the Services on behalf of another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority and permissions necessary to do so.
4. Description of the Service
CartoReel transforms uploaded travel photographs and locations you provide into cinematic travel videos, animated reels, map transitions, geographic visualizations, and other Generated Content.
Depending on the features available at the time you use the Services, CartoReel may use image processing, artificial intelligence, computer vision, geographic data, mapping technology, automated analysis, video rendering, and other technologies to create your requested content.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Services at any time.
5. Accounts and Access
Certain features may require you to provide an email address or other information to access the Services or receive your Generated Content.
You agree to provide accurate information and to maintain the security of any access credentials, verification links, or other authentication methods associated with your use of the Services.
You are responsible for activity performed through your access to the Services.
We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary to protect the Services, our users, third parties, or our rights.
6. Your Content and Ownership
"Your Content" means photographs, videos, images, text, prompts, location information, metadata, files, instructions, and other materials that you upload, submit, transmit, or otherwise provide through the Services.
You retain ownership and copyright in Your Content. CartoReel does not acquire ownership of Your Content merely because you upload or submit it to the Services.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, licenses, and consents necessary for CartoReel to process Your Content as contemplated by these Terms.
If you share or gift a reel or any Generated Content to another person, including by email or a gift link, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share it and, where applicable, the permission of the people depicted in it. CartoReel may remove or disable access to shared or gifted content at any time, including where we believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. License to Process Your Content
By submitting Your Content to CartoReel, you grant CartoReel a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, access, modify, adapt, analyze, process, transform, display, and otherwise use Your Content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services and to comply with applicable law.
This includes processing reasonably necessary to extract metadata, analyze photographs, perform AI or computer vision processing, generate maps and geographic visualizations, create videos and reels, and produce technical derivatives such as thumbnails, previews, resized images, intermediate files, rendered frames, and temporary processing files.
This license does not transfer ownership of Your Content to CartoReel.
The license may continue for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill these purposes, including where copies remain in backups, logs, caches, or other systems maintained in accordance with our retention practices and Privacy Policy.
8. Your Rights and Permissions
You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise have sufficient rights and permissions to submit Your Content to CartoReel and to grant the license described in these Terms.
You are responsible for obtaining any permissions, releases, licenses, or consents required for photographs or other content containing people, private property, copyrighted material, trademarks, or other protected subject matter.
CartoReel is not responsible for determining whether you have obtained the permissions required to upload or process Your Content.
9. Photos Featuring Other People
You may upload photographs containing other people only where you have the legal right and any necessary permissions to do so.
You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, publicity, image-rights, biometric, and other laws relating to individuals depicted in Your Content.
10. Location and Metadata
Photographs and other files may contain embedded metadata, including GPS coordinates, timestamps, altitude, camera information, orientation, and other technical information.
By uploading content containing metadata, you authorize CartoReel to access, extract, process, and use that metadata as reasonably necessary to provide the Services.
You may also provide locations manually through the Services. Such information may be used for mapping, geographic visualizations, route animations, titles, and other functionality.
11. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
CartoReel may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and automated processing technologies to provide certain features.
These technologies may analyze photographs or other content to identify or infer characteristics such as people, buildings, landmarks, nature, pets, water, cityscapes, scenes, objects, locations, or other visual attributes.
AI-assisted functionality may also be used to generate titles, descriptions, classifications, visual effects, animations, transformations, compositions, and other Generated Content.
AI visual effects applied to photographs are optional. Customers may choose to turn off AI visual effects prior to reel creation; when turned off, original uploaded photos are used in the reel without AI visual transformation, while other automated CartoReel features such as location inference, mapping, and travel routes continue to operate.
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or inappropriate results. You should review Generated Content before publishing it or relying on it.
12. Generated Content
"Generated Content" means reels, videos, images, text, titles, animations, effects, maps, compositions, or other materials generated or assembled by CartoReel based on Your Content, locations, instructions, or other inputs.
Subject to these Terms, applicable law, and any applicable third-party rights or restrictions, you may use Generated Content you receive from CartoReel for your personal or commercial purposes.
You may share, publish, post, distribute, and use your finished video reels on social media platforms and other services, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and similar platforms.
Generated Content may not be unique. Similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users, particularly where similar source material, locations, templates, instructions, or automated processes are involved.
CartoReel does not guarantee that Generated Content will be accurate, original, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing Generated Content and ensuring that your use of it complies with applicable laws and the rights of third parties.
13. CartoReel Intellectual Property
The Services, including CartoReel's software, website, user interface, designs, branding, logos, trademarks, technology, templates, animations, systems, documentation, and other materials provided by CartoReel, are owned by or licensed to CartoReel and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, sell, sublicense, lease, or create derivative works from the Services or any portion of them.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of CartoReel's trademarks, software, technology, or other intellectual property.
14. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation;
- infringe, misappropriate, or violate another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- upload content that you do not have the right to use;
- upload malware, viruses, malicious code, or other harmful material;
- interfere with or disrupt the Services or their infrastructure;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- circumvent usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically collect information from the Services without authorization;
- use automated systems to abuse, overload, or materially interfere with the Services;
- impersonate another person or entity;
- use the Services to create or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content; or
- use the Services in a manner that creates significant legal, security, or technical risk to CartoReel, its users, or third parties.
15. Third-Party Services
The Services may depend on or integrate with third-party infrastructure, mapping services, artificial intelligence providers, cloud platforms, payment processors, email providers, analytics services, content delivery networks, and other third-party services.
Third-party services may be subject to separate terms, licenses, restrictions, and privacy policies.
CartoReel does not control and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, functionality, or policies of independent third-party services.
Third-party services may change, become unavailable, impose limitations, or discontinue functionality, which may affect the Services.
16. Payments and Purchases
Certain CartoReel features or Generated Content may require payment.
Prices, applicable taxes, available products, and payment terms will be presented to you before you complete a purchase.
You authorize CartoReel and its payment service providers to process payments using the payment method you provide.
You agree to provide accurate and complete billing information and to update that information when necessary.
CartoReel may refuse, cancel, or limit a transaction where we reasonably believe that the transaction is fraudulent, unauthorized, unlawful, or presents a security risk.
17. Refunds and Failed Orders
Refund eligibility will depend on the product or service purchased, applicable law, and any refund terms presented at the time of purchase.
Because certain CartoReel Services may involve computational processing, AI processing, rendering, or other costs incurred when an order is submitted, we may not be able to provide refunds for completed or substantially completed processing except where required by applicable law or expressly provided by CartoReel.
If a purchased service fails due to a technical issue attributable to CartoReel, we may, at our discretion and subject to applicable law, attempt to regenerate the content, provide a replacement, or issue an appropriate refund or credit.
18. Promotional Offers and Credits
CartoReel may offer promotional codes, credits, discounts, trials, or other incentives from time to time.
Promotional offers may be subject to additional terms and may not be combined unless expressly permitted.
We may modify or discontinue promotional offers at any time, subject to applicable law and any specific terms governing the offer.
19. Communications
By using the Services, you agree that CartoReel may send transactional and service-related communications, including processing updates, delivery notifications, security messages, support communications, and information necessary to provide the Services.
Where permitted by applicable law, you may separately choose to receive marketing communications such as product updates, new feature announcements, and promotional offers.
Marketing communications will be handled according to your applicable preferences and our Privacy Policy.
20. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, recommendations, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback regarding CartoReel ("Feedback"), you grant CartoReel a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable, and transferable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and otherwise exploit the Feedback for any lawful purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
You agree that Feedback does not contain confidential information belonging to you or another party unless CartoReel expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
21. Content Removal and Moderation
We may, but are not obligated to, review, monitor, restrict, remove, disable access to, or refuse to process content where we reasonably believe that the content or its use violates these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, or the security or integrity of the Services.
We may also take action where necessary to respond to legal requests, protect users or third parties, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect CartoReel and its infrastructure.
We do not assume responsibility for monitoring all content submitted through the Services.
22. Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
CartoReel respects intellectual property rights and may remove or restrict access to content that we reasonably believe infringes another person's rights.
If you believe that content available through the Services infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may contact us with sufficient information for us to evaluate the complaint.
CartoReel may suspend or terminate access where appropriate, including in cases involving repeated or serious infringement.
23. Data Retention and Deletion
CartoReel may retain Your Content and other information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, complete transactions, maintain backups, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce these Terms, and maintain the security and integrity of the Services.
We may delete, anonymize, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of content and information in accordance with our retention practices and Privacy Policy.
Deletion from active systems may not result in immediate deletion from backups, disaster-recovery systems, logs, caches, or other systems maintained for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes.
24. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
CartoReel may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Services if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of another person, or if suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, or CartoReel.
We may also discontinue the Services or particular features at any time.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including provisions concerning intellectual property, user content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and other provisions intended to survive termination.
25. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT, GENERATED CONTENT, FEATURES, AND FUNCTIONALITY PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARTOREEL DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT VIDEO GENERATION, AI PROCESSING, MAP RENDERING, OR OTHER PROCESSING WILL ALWAYS COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY OR WITHIN A PARTICULAR TIMEFRAME.
26. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
AI-assisted functionality can produce results that are inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, misleading, or inconsistent.
CartoReel does not guarantee the factual accuracy of automatically generated titles, descriptions, locations, classifications, visual effects, routes, maps, or other Generated Content.
You are responsible for reviewing Generated Content before publishing, distributing, commercializing, or otherwise relying upon it.
CartoReel should not be relied upon for decisions involving safety, legal rights, financial matters, medical matters, navigation, or other situations where inaccurate information could cause material harm.
27. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CARTOREEL AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CARTOREEL'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CARTOREEL FOR THE SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
28. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CartoReel and its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to:
- Your Content or your use of Your Content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law or regulation;
- your violation or alleged violation of another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- your use or misuse of the Services or Generated Content;
- any claim that you did not have sufficient rights, permissions, licenses, or consents to submit or process Your Content; or
- your fraud, negligence, willful misconduct, or unlawful conduct.
CartoReel reserves the right to assume exclusive control and defense of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with CartoReel in asserting any available defenses.
29. Force Majeure
CartoReel will not be responsible for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, terrorism, government actions, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, infrastructure failures, power outages, cyberattacks, third-party service failures, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
30. International Use
The Services may be accessed from locations around the world. CartoReel does not represent that the Services or their content are appropriate or available in every jurisdiction.
You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to your use of the Services in your location.

32. Electronic Communications
By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from CartoReel where permitted by applicable law.
You agree that electronic notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
33. Assignment

CartoReel may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without your consent in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, change of control, or similar transaction.
34. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
35. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
